The Museum offers a range of historical objects and natural history specimens for students to handle and explore. Resource sheets are available to guide teacher-led discussion and enquiry.
Land/Life/Culture: Native and Pest Species
Specimens are contained in ‘Touch Boxes’, used to teach children about animals that are native to Australia and those that are introduced.
Teachers’ notes are provided for teacher-led discussion of the specimens.
The Tweed Then & Now: Handling Collection
Students explore common household objects from the past and discuss how these objects have changed over time.
