The Tweed Shire has a rich and unique history.

These pages highlight a selection of the unique items from the collection of Tweed Regional Museum, including personal stories, photographs and objects, as well as historic places and sites on the Tweed.

Explore the tabs on the left to discover some of the area's fascinating history.

The museum collection includes a wide range of historically significant material including objects, photographs, maps and documents. Council is also committed to preserving built and environmental heritage and to working with the Tweed Aboriginal community to document and preserve Aboriginal cultural heritage.
