Untold Stories: Living with ability

Untold Stories - online exhibition

Untold Stories is a Tweed Regional Museum project exploring some extra-ordinary stories of living with disability.

During 2016 and 2017 Tweed Regional Museum worked closely with a project group drawn from Tweed Shire Council’s Equal Access Advisory Committee and with Council’s Community Development Officer to shape the collection and exhibition project Untold Stories: Living with Ability.

Through oral history and video recordings, images, and an exhibition, the project captured the rich experiences of a number of Tweed citizens whose life stories included living with disability.

These stories are now part of the Museum’s collection.

The exhibition (21 March – 24 June 2017) incorporated significant objects chosen by each participant as emblematic of their life experiences. This website features material from the exhibition.

Over time new stories will be added to the Museum’s collection, and to this site.
