Façade: Art Deco of Murwillumbah
Caption: Regent Cinema, Murwillumbah, C.1950
Pick up a copy of the Façade brochure from the Museum or Art Gallery to discover Murwillumbah's Art Deco features. This walking tour was developed as a collaboration between the Museum and the Tweed Regional Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre.
Look closely as you walk through town to spot the geometrically 'stepped' roof tops, sun burst ceilings and leadlight windows that make Murwillumbah an Art Deco town.
The walk is an easy “loop” of the town and has many places to stop and eat along the way.
